In order to search a database, it is necessary to fill out a form. Only search ations about the fields in the active layer will be permitted.
In the box Campo (Type) it is necessary to indicate the database field to be searched.
In the Operador (Operator) field you can define the operation to be performed.
The operations allowed are: equality (=) and comparison (>, <, >=, <=, LIKE).
Note: the operator LIKE, which is only used in search actions to text mode fields, may be used together with the special symbol %, which works together with a keyword. This operator can be applied to make the search easier when the exact values of the fields are not known.
In the Valor (Value) box, you must include the value (text or number) wanted.
Note: Do not use . or , to separate numeric values above 1,000.
The button Obter campos (Obtain fields) allows the visualization of values contained in the field searched, which makes it easier to fill out the Valor (Value) box.
Once the search is defined, you must click on the button Adicionar ao texto da Consulta (Add to search text) to include it in the formula box.
It is possible to do an advanced search using the complementary operators (AND, OR, NOT and ( )). In order to do it, after the inclusion of a search action in the formula box, just choose the appropriate complementary operator and elaborate a new search with field, operator and value, as previously described.
The Executar (Enter) button searches the database and presents the result according to the preferences included in the formula box.
The Desfazer (Undo) button goes back to the last operation added to the the formula box.
The Limpar (Clear) button erases all the function contained in the formula box.
